How To Create A New Domain_6 Account On Iphone
Add a custom email domain for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com
If you upgrade to iCloud+, you can add a custom email domain name you already own to iCloud and use it with iCloud Mail. For an overview of the feature, see Personalize iCloud Mail with a custom email domain and share with family.
If you're part of a Family Sharing group, you can share the email domain with members of the group. Anyone in your Family Sharing group can add a custom domain and choose whether or not to share it.
Note: Custom Email Domain isn't available in all countries or regions.
How adding a custom domain works
When you add a custom domain, you go through the following steps:
Step 1. Enter the domain name and choose if you want to share it with your Family Sharing group.
Step 2. If you have existing email addresses for the domain, add them and assign them to members of your Family Sharing group (if applicable).
Step 3. Set up the domain and select your default email address.
Step 1: Enter the domain details
-
On iCloud.com, go to Account Settings, then click Manage in the Custom Email Domain section.
If you've already added at least one domain, scroll down, then click the button to add a new domain.
-
Indicate who will use the domain. Choose one of the following:
-
Only You: Choose this option if you don't have Family Sharing set up, or if you're part of a Family Sharing group but don't want to share the domain with the group.
-
You and Your Family: Choose this option if you want to share the domain with members of your Family Sharing group. During setup, you can configure email addresses for each member of your Family Sharing group.
-
-
Enter the domain name, then click Continue.
Step 2: Enter existing email addresses
Enter the email addresses you already use with this domain name. (You can create new email addresses after you set up the domain.)
Note: If there aren't any existing email addresses associated with this domain, click Skip and go to Step 3: Set up the domain.
-
Locate the person who the email address belongs to.
If you're sharing the domain with your Family Sharing group, you see all your Family Sharing members listed. If not, you only see yourself.
-
Add an existing email address in the field below their name.
-
If you want to add an additional email address for any person, click next to their name. In the field that appears, type the additional address.
Each person can have a maximum of three email addresses for a domain.
-
After you finish adding all existing addresses, click "Add email address(es)."
A verification email is sent to each of the email addresses you added. You can see the verification status of each email address under the address. If necessary, you can click Resend Verification Emails to resend the email to all pending addresses.
Step 3: Set up the domain
-
Follow the onscreen instructions to finish setting up your domain. Depending on the domain, you may be prompted to sign in to your domain registrar to automatically update your records. Otherwise, you need to manually update your DNS records. For information on how to update your MX, TXT, and CNAME records, see the Apple Support article Set up an existing domain with iCloud Mail.
-
Choose a default email address to use when you send iCloud mail. You can change this at any time in Mail preferences. See Choose a default email address to send mail from on iCloud.com.
You can now use your custom domain addresses to send and receive email on iCloud.com and on any Apple device that has Mail turned on in iCloud settings. See Set up iCloud for Mail on all your devices.
